Prius takes out town's electricity, driver flees

Think all Prius drivers are goody two-shoes? Let this story from Ellington, Connecticut reshape your stereotypes. Sometime last night at around 1 a.m., someone managed to crash their Prius into a utility pole on Route 286. The pole was knocked over and the power went out at over 100 homes. The highway was also shut down. Accidents can happen to anyone, and we’ll let the local news anchor’s speculation that alcohol might be involved stand on its own - deer aren’t exactly rare. Still, the suspicious part is that the driver abandoned the vehicle, which doesn’t exactly imply reasonableness. State Police are looking for him or her using K-9 units and other means. Watch the video after the jump.
